Play Leader Training
Pupils who plan, lead and deliver playground activity
Play Leader Training gives pupils the opportunity to learn how to lead activities for different year groups in their school. During the day, children consider the qualities of a successful leader and then plan, set up and deliver a playground game for KS1 classes to take part in.
All planning and delivery is completed by children within your selected class, working in small groups. We also require two KS1 classes for the afternoon session to take part in the Play Leaders' games — this can be Year 1, Year 2 or both for a one-form-entry school.
Once the leaders have completed their training day, we hope they continue to develop their leadership skills by completing as many hours as possible on the playground, delivering organised physical activity for other children in the school.
