Creating opportunities for every child to compete, develop and be inspired through high-quality physical activity and school sport.
NEW FOR 2026/27 — CHOOSE YOUR MEMBERSHIP
For the first time, schools can choose between two membership packages — Standard or Impact — giving you the flexibility to select the level of support that best suits your school.
Our commitment
Should the School Games Organiser role conclude before March 2027, every scheduled competition, festival and event will still be delivered.
Two packages
Standard for full competition access, Impact for whole-school physical activity, leadership and wellbeing.
Year-round partner
More than a competition calendar — inclusion, staff development and targeted intervention projects across the academic year.
Our aim — 2026 / 27
Our aim for 2026/27 is to evolve from being recognised primarily as a competition organiser into becoming a genuine school sport partnership. Competition will always remain at the heart of what we do, but we will also support schools through leadership development, inclusion, physical activity, health and wellbeing, staff development and sustainable school improvement.
We want WDPSSA to become a year-round partner that helps schools navigate the changing landscape while creating more opportunities for every child to engage, include, compete, lead and thrive.
A full programme of leagues, competitions and festivals — every scheduled event delivered, guaranteed.
Inclusion built in, not bolted on: SEND provision, girls' participation and intra-school competition for every child.
Pupil leadership through Play Leader training and staff leadership through PE lead consultations and CPD.
Whole-school physical activity, health and wellbeing — from assemblies to targeted interventions that build confidence.
Why two memberships?
Some schools simply want access to high-quality events. Others want support that creates lasting impact across PE, physical activity and child wellbeing.
That is why we offer two packages. Whether your priority is around events, competitions and event opportunities or building a whole-school culture of physical activity, there is a membership to match your journey — and you are never paying for provision you do not need.
Standard
Competition, Leagues & Festivals only.
Full access to every WDPSSA event, league and festival — a simple, cost-effective way to get pupils competing.
Explore Standard →Impact

Impact Membership is built around one targeted intervention chosen by your school, plus a full package of leadership, wellbeing, competition-readiness and CPD support delivered across the year.
Every Impact school selects the project that best fits their priorities.
